A few tips to get the most out of a branded domain from day one.

  • Keep it short

    Domains of around 4 to 10 characters are the easiest to read aloud, type on a phone and fit on print.

  • Sub-domains work perfectly

    Use something like go.yourbrand.in or link.yourbrand.com without touching your main website.

  • Root redirect and 404 page

    Send visitors who open your bare domain to your website, and send mistyped links to a page you choose.

Do I need to buy a new domain?

No. You can use a sub-domain of a website you already own, such as go.yourbrand.com. If you prefer a dedicated short domain, buy one from any registrar and connect it here.

How long does setup take?

Adding the domain in your dashboard takes a minute. The DNS record is added at your registrar and can take up to 36 hours to apply, although it is often much faster.
